KZN cop accused of killing pregnant partner denied bail

A KwaZulu-Natal police sergeant accused of the murder of his heavily pregnant girlfriend has been denied bail.
Busisiwe Ngcobo was found strangled near her home in eHlanzeni last month.
She had been due to deliver triplets, and was last seen with Mbuyiseni Gema.

The 48-year-old sergeant appeared again on Monday at the Ixopo Magistrate’s Court.
KZN National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Natasha Kara says the State had opposed bail.
"The matter has been remanded to 24 October 2023 for further investigations. He is charged with one count of murder."
