Durban residents urged to save water

eThekwini is urging communities across the municipality to be more active in trying to save water.
The municipality wants communities to reduce their usage by around 15-percent to help stock water reserves.
Spokesperson Tozi Mthethwa says the city's water restrictions remain in place.
"We would like to call for a change in our daily behaviour, the daily things that we do such as brushing our teeth, watering the garden, washing cars, taking a shower and washing dishes, in all those activities use just enough," she said.
Mthethwa says communities must use only what they need.
"We believe that every drop counts. If you reduce your water usage by 15-percent on a daily basis, this will contribute to our water reserves," She said.
