South Africa celebrates National Parks Week between 18th and 22nd of September to put the spotlight on the amazing experience that visiting a park has to offer. 

KwaZulu-Natal is blessed with Umgeni Bird Park – a home to diverse and beautiful birds. 

The park is a tourist attraction located in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal and is not only home to amazing birds, but has a man-made waterfall and a pond that makes for great snaps.

This park has been in existence since the 1980s and to date, it still offers the best experience, especially for nature and bird lovers. 

Visitors will get to see more than 800 birds on site, including cape vultures, blue crane, king vulture, lesser palm cockatoo, eastern black-capped lory, blue and yellow macaw, common peafowl, grey crowned crane, demoiselle crane, marabou stork, and many more.

If you are hungry, there is no need to worry about leaving the park to go and get food. There is a café that sells delicious food and drinks.
