Cher got her music break when she released 'I Got You Babe' in 1965 alongside her husband, Bono. The album sold more than three-million copies. 

Television 

Cher's big television break occurred in 1974 when she joined 'The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour'. 

She also featured on 'Come Back to the Five and Dime', 'Jimmy Dean',  'Silkwood', 'Moonstruck',  'Mask', 'Suspect', and 'Tea with Mussolini'. 

Albums 

Cher has released 26 studio albums, ten compilation albums, two soundtrack albums, and three live albums. Her first album was called, 'Cher', and was released in 1987. 

Awards

Cher has won countless awards, including a Grammy Award for the dance single 'Believe', and the Billboard Icon Award.

She also holds the Guinness World Record Award for Highest Grossing Music Tour by a Female Artist in 2007. In 2002, she received the Oldest Female Singer to Reach No.1 - US Chart Guinness World Record Award. Additionally, in 1999, she won the Guinness World Record award for Longest Gap Between No.1s on the US Singles Chart, as well as longest span between No.1s.
