Frankie Valli continues to impact lives with his music.

The legendary singer, who started his music career in the 1960s, has been honoured by the city where he grew up, Newark in New Jersey, alongside the NJ Hall of Fame.

In a post shared on Instagram on Tuesday, the singer announced that the city recently unveiled a street named after him.

"Last week, the city of Newark, NJ and the NJ Hall of Fame unveiled the brand new street “Frankie Valli Way” – a dedication to the legacy and catalog of the legend himself, Frankie Valli," the post read.

The legendary singer expressed his joy over having a street named after him, stating that it is one of the greatest moments of his life.

“It’s something to remember forever, it’s just one of the greatest moments of my life, I can’t believe they named a street after me,” read the post.

Valli explained that what makes the city special is not only that he grew up there, but that his mother also took her last breath there.

“It’s been a wonderful day really, and there is so much sentiment in Stephen Crane Village for me, right up until I became successful I lived here…my mother lived here and died here.”
