Wendy Knowler has 16 years' experience as a consumer journalist, in both print and on radio.

 

She wrote her first consumer column, Taking Issue, for The Mercury from 1998, and after a brief stint as Fairlady magazine’s consumer editor in the mid-2000s, returned to Independent Newspapers as consumer editor in 2006, her columns appearing in The Star, Cape Times, Pretoria News and Daily News.

 

Since November 2014 she has been employed by the Times Media Group, her new consumer column, In Your Corner, being published on Mondays in The Times, Herald and Daily Dispatch.

 

Her tandem radio career began with the broadcasting of Consumerwatch on East Coast Radio in January 2004.

 

In addition to her weekly slot on East Coast Breakfast on Thursday mornings, from 8.30am, from January 2015 she has presented Consumerwatch Xtra on Tuesday’s Trending Tonight with Sirshin Moodliar, from 9pm, giving listeners an opportunity to call in and engage with her about consumer issues.
