We all wish that we would've known some things before we had to go through it, whether it's got to do with life hacks or life lessons, if we can avoid getting burnt or hurt in any way, why not follow some advice.

So when we saw this video by a TikToker named Sidney Raz, it got us thinking about the list of things that we hadn't even thought about when it comes to life. This hack that he shares can be transformative for those learning how to cook and even those experienced cooks who just didn't know.

He revealed a cooking hack that involves a pot and a wooden spoon. It may seem super mediocre, but to those of us who have attempted boiling stuff on the stove, it is a challenge when the contents of your pot boils over onto the stove. It's also a nightmare when you have to clean up the burnt residue off the stove.

So when we heard about this hack, we had to share it with you all. You can stop a pot from boiling over by placing a wooden spoon on top of it...yes, it works! Check out the video below (courtesy of TikTok):

We do feel like it's these small hacks that really save us. His video garnered over 7.9-million views, so we guess that others also feel the same way. Another TikToker commented on the video, sharing the science behind this hack, which really made this a two in one lesson.

It read: "So for everyone who is confused, here is the science behind it: the bubbles are afraid of wood and do their best to stay away. Hope this helped."

Two other TikTokers piped in with their comments, one saying that she is 38-years-old and just learnt this hack a month before the video. Whilst the other was a 13-year-old boy who was feeling quite chuffed that he is learning it at such a young age.
