WATCH: Why you shouldn't be peeing in the shower...
Updated | By East Coast Radio
P.S. It's not for hygiene reasons...
It's been said that peeing in the shower can help the environment, which is definitely the reason that people do it...
Uh, we beg to differ. Humans thrive on convenience and finding the easiest way of doing things, so, of course, if they feel the urge, they pee in the shower.
However, it's important to note that there is a divided community on that, some will do it and not admit to it, whilst others do it openly, then there are those that just find it unhygienic.
A doctor has been using TikTok to educate people on bladder health. Dr Alicia Jeffrey-Thomas is a pelvic floor therapist. She put up a video about why it is actually not good for you to pee in the shower.
The video got a mixed reaction, with some people saying that there are bigger things to worry about in the world, while others said that it was quite interesting to hear an expert share this information.

It is certainly interesting to note that peeing in the shower has everything to do with how your mind and bladder work together.
As she explains, Pavlov's theory of classical conditioning and his experiment where dogs were fed at the sound of a bell, can be applied to peeing whilst hearing the sound of water.
It was humourous to see the way people responded, some saying that if her theory is correct, and you shouldn't pee whilst listening to water, then wouldn't that apply to hearing other people open the tap or flushing...
Either way, we would prefer to not experience any leaky issues in our older age so rather be safe and not tempt the shower powers that be...
