WATCH: 'Tattoo Redo' - Netflix and Chill this Public Holiday
Updated | By East Coast Radio
A new show on Netflix has us reflecting on our tattoos: 'Tattoo Redo'.
We have all heard stories about people getting tattoos for all the wrong reasons. But the fact of the matter is, is there a right tattoo? Well, we think that tattoos are symbols. They represent something important, sometimes it could just be a symbol to remind you of a certain time in your life, perhaps it is sentimental.
Whatever the reason, getting inked shouldn't be a way of decorating your body, we reserve full rights over that mindset though, so please don't think it is a dig or us being shady. Oh contraire! We admire people being themselves and if that's your thing - then you do you baby!
'Tattoo Redo' is a recent reality show on Netflix and we thought what better way to celebrate the theme than by asking you if you ever got a tat that you regret?
Well, we will leave the below for you to answer anonymously, in case it brings back some bad memories...Otherwise, we suggest, reinventing it, go to someone who is talented enough to transform it into something positive and uplifting...
Tattoo Redo is a "brand-new show that follows five established tattoo artists tasked with taking some of their clients' most embarrassing or regrettable pieces of ink and working their magic to transform them into masterpieces." (Pop Sugar)
This show isn't a conventional one though, there is a twist. Traditionally people who didn't like the way their tattoos looked would go for laser or go for a redo, the twist in the works here is that your family and/ or friends submit you for the redo...Dum Dum Dum...
So behind every tattoo there are is always some unique story - but from incorrectly translated foreign language tattoos to those that have lost their shape or have faded over time, the coolest tattoo artists get to redo these tattoos but at the hands of the loved ones of the clients.
Yes, you heard right, the loved ones will be the ones choosing the new coverup...Now you know what the "Dum Dum Dum" was for...
