WATCH: Lamborghini worth more than R5.5m catches alight!

A whole new meaning to treading flames...
Customised cars are really amazing and we have to say that they really are statement pieces. But, of course, they cost more than a pretty penny...
This man's customised Lamborghini Aventador Viola Ophelia was burnt beyond repair due to extreme weather conditions in the UK.
Ciro Ciampi was out on a Sunday drive with his daughter when he noticed smoke in his rearview mirror. When he smelt burning, he immediately stopped the car at a nearby layby and they both jumped out.
The car holds a price tag of around £270,000 (which is more than R5.5-million) and even more if you take into consideration the custom work Ciro had done on the car.
Although Ciro was quick, calm, and cool in his response to what happened, which saved both his daughter's and his life, we cannot imagine the gut wrench he must feel over losing such a prized possession.
Sadly, even though he acted fast, the masterpiece was deemed unroadworthy and written off after the fire.
It was revealed that a possible cause for the car setting alight could have been due to it being fueled and left in the direct sun.
With temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius, it seems that sometimes you need a manual on extreme weather conditions and fancy cars...
