Waiter dramatically confesses that he lied to family that tipped him R8,500!

Lying to your customers so that you don't get into trouble can come back to bite you when you're not looking...
We all know that treating your server well is a key part of dining out. If you didn't know, now you know.
And if you're scratching your head wondering why, it's because they are handling your food, and you should never mess with anyone who has access to your food.
But this story showed a sneaky side of one waiter, who lied to his customers to save face.
Dean Redmonds recently shared a story on his TikTok page. He revealed that during a Christmas lunch with a family of around 22 pax, he made a blunder with their order.
He said that somehow, he had forgotten to put through four of their sandwich orders with the rest of the family's order.
And only realised this when the rest of the orders came out for service. As a way of saving face and avoiding unhappy customers, he made up a lie that was anything but white.

It's only a matter of time before his lies catch up with him. Telling the family that the waitress who was holding their food fell and went to ICU, was a big leap.
And to think after receiving a large and very generous tip of $500 (R8,449.25), he aired his laundry on TikTok and openly admits to not sharing the tip with his fellow servers.
He doesn't seem worried about his actions, because he did to other customers who supposedly gave him a tip of $400 (R6,759.40).
