Updated | By East Coast Radio
We take a look at the things that made us smile over the last week, as we pick our socks up and get ready to make July the best part of the second half of 2021...
When it comes sharing those once-in-a-lifetime moments, we have to say we are all for sharing the love. So we have decided to do a recap of the best moments of the week, according to who? According to you, our wonderful and amazing listeners.
Here goes, these were the best moments online according to you...
#1: A woman on TikTok shares a very sad and pivotal moment with the online world. She was asked to leave her gym because of what she was wearing and it wasn't even that which got to her. It had to do with the way she was spoken to. We feel for her and believe that there needs to be more love when it comes body positivity.
Check out the video here.
#2: 73 years at the Tongaat Daily Market with the Narain Family. With a rich sense of history, a Tongaat family celebrates 73 years at the Tongaat Daily Market and aim to continue their legacy with the market.
An inspiring story of how a family that has remained humble throughout their time at the market have managed to put their kids through university with their income from the market. Check it out here.
#3: Black Coffee partners with Durban Tourism to highlight the beauty of this amazing province we live in. This was both sentimental and heartwarming for us. To see someone from home who has made it big internationally and locally, remembering where he came from and sharing such special moments from his childhood.
Watch the video that he did highlighting some key locations in Durban.
#4: Six-year-old Reece from Pietermaritzburg left us feeling nostalgic when he proved that a child's innocence outweighs any form of negativity. Little Reece celebrated his 6th birthday and wanted to use his birthday money to buy a car for his Nani (grandmother).
Watch the video here and take a listen to his mom talk about him here.
#5: Former President Zuma gets ordered by the Constitutional Court to hand himself over so that he can serve his 15 month sentence in prison. This came after he failed to appear at court proceedings.
