Is there such a thing as gym etiquette?
Updated | By East Coast Radio
We think there is a level of mutual respect and an unspoken list of being mindful to other gym users.
Going to the gym is definitely not just for your physical well-being, it very much helps with your mental state of mind.
Well, at least that's our opinion. Exercise helps with many things, and the impact it can have on your mood is something of a pro in our books.
So, we can understand that when you go to the gym, you want to be in a certain mental state of mind and achieve a workout that makes you feel good. But what happens when achieving that is obstructed by other gym goers?
A woman shared a video on her TikTok that showed a fellow gymgoer being a bit impatient when it came to the use of one of the machines.
Now, there are a set of rules and regulations that everyone going to the gym abides by, that's stock standard. For instance, no hogging of machines.
But there is also a thing called patience and being mindful. And sometimes that isn't always practiced by everyone.

In our opinion, if you are doing sets on machines, then you should still abide by a time limit, especially if you see someone waiting to use the same machine.
But if no one is there, then we don't have a problem with people spending as much time as they want on the machines.
In saying that, the lady who was being a Karen needs to calm down, the TikToker was considerate and kind, it doesn't hurt to reciprocate that.
