This restaurant job offers better perks than a corporate job
Updated | By East Coast Radio
This is what we call an evolving industry...
When you think about corporate work, there is a general inclination that it comes with good perks.
But as the years have progressed, it seems that times have changed and not all corporate establishments have the ability to include benefits in their job specs.
In saying that, the food industry has also had its peaks and falls and therefore you wouldn't generally associate a service industry job to come with any perks.
But one restaurant has flipped the script. Ajumma's Restaurant, a Korean restaurant in Singapore, has gone viral on social media for posting a job ad.
The job advertisement is definitely appealing with a list of job benefits that cater for the employee's needs.
Things like food allowances, medical benefits, 13th cheque, incentive bonuses, studying opportunities, and insurance were mentioned.

In a time where money isn't everything and we live in a community of workers who prioritise feeling acknowledged over money, this might very well be the industry standard for the food and leisure sectors.
The job ad not only opened up the future of the food and restaurant industry, but also said a lot about this restaurant in particular.
