single, Ayabulela.
You know him for songs such as Fetch Your Life, Gugulethu, and Club Controller.
Durban-based DJ and producer Prince Kaybee has released a new hit single titled, Ayabulela, to celebrate his 31st birthday.
Prince Kaybee had a chat with Vic about the inspiration behind the new song.
According to the hitmaker, all proceeds from the single will go to charity and towards helping those affected by COVID-19.
He also admitted to being nervous about releasing new music because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“I’m very nervous because you never really know what kind of a mood people are in or what state of mind,” he says. “Now it’s even harder because of the COVID-19. Everyone is anxious, people want the country to open again. So, you don’t really know what you’re dealing with.”
Prince Kaybee also opened up about sometimes feeling like he is in the wrong industry, because he is so outspoken.
Something which he says he will not compromise on because of his values.
I don’t want his apology, Black Coffee has always disliked me, a few years ago I won an award of a catagory he wanted at the Metrofm awards, “Best Remix”. You know wt he said?, “his AliciaKeys remix is official and played all over. So he doesn’t get how I won. https://t.co/RLJ5sSbUNz

The DJ was recently involved in a very public spat with Black Coffee and accused the fellow DJ of not liking him because of an awards victory some years ago.
Prince Kaybee also shared the secret meaning behind his breakout single, Charlotte.
According to the producer, the song, which features Lady Zamar, is actually a metaphor for insecurities.
“Charlotte is just insecurities that people have. So we needed a name for the insecurities so Lady Zamar saw it fit to name them Charlotte,” he says. “Charlotte is actually a deceiver, like when your partner’s phone rings, and you start thinking something else.”
