POV: Woman doesn't bake a cupcake for colleague she doesn't get along with...
We love/hate office drama. It's like a soapie, you want to look away but your eyes won't listen...
Every office or workplace setting tries to encourage a healthy and happy work environment. But that isn't always attainable.
This is due to a variety of reasons, sometimes it could be due to mismatched work ethics, other times it could be associated with personality clashes.
Whatever the reasoning, there is rarely a group of colleagues that can firmly say that they all haven't had a squabble or two. And squabbling and disagreeing with someone isn't necessarily a bad thing.
It can be a healthy way of developing a stronger bond and building on communication.
But what happens when your disagreement reaches a point of no return. A point that declares the office space a warzone?
What happens to everyone then, would the colleagues then be described as part of the shared custody agreement? Well, we're not sure. But we know that in this case, sometimes it is better to have tried than to add fuel to the fire...
If anything, it pays to think about the bigger picture. After all, you don't want to find yourself in a situation where you are unhappy to go to work because of a colleague.
A woman turned to Reddit to ask the question, if she was wrong to bake a limited number of cupcakes because she knew that a coworker she’s not on good terms with would refuse to eat them?
The woman went on to explain that she loves to bake and that she often enjoys sharing her baked treats with her office colleagues.
She went on to say that she gets along with most of her colleagues, with the exception of one. A male who she refers to as Leo. She has had a strained relationship with Leo due to some banter from his side about her when she was first starting out.
Now as it was her birthday she decided to bake cupcakes and share with her office colleagues. Excluding her, there are 25 colleagues and since she has encountered rejection from Leo previously when offering him something, she decided to be practical and bake two rounds in the oven.
So a flat 24 cupcakes. Her theory was proven correct when she walked around offering everyone a cupcake and he refused.

But the tables turned when another colleague came by asking for Leo's rejected cupcake and the woman revealed that she didn't bake one for him.
When she returned to the office on Monday, she heard that everyone in the office was talking about how bad it was that she left Leo out, and he was allegedly upset because he loves cupcakes...
She became the bad person for not including him, but she did offer him and he said no...
The worst part is that her one colleague told her that if she had just left his share in the kitchen, he would come around to get it.
So her cupcakes are worth his time but treating her with respect isn't...
No, no it doesn't work that way. You can't have your cupcake and eat it!
