Furniture is sort of a weak spot for us. Understandably so.
Your choice of furniture, just like your sense of style, says something about you. It is essentially something of an art form.
So, when you are furnishing your new home, we can understand that is a big deal.
Which is why we resonated when we heard this man's story.
"Luke Ansell ordered the sofa from online retailer designersofas4u.co.uk after moving into a brand-new house in Bournemouth. He said the sofa company's delivery men got it wedged but left saying they had no time to rectify it." (BBC)
Although we understand his pain, this vaguely reminded us of that scene from 'Friends' when Ross bought a new couch. Check it out, courtesy of YouTube:
The company has disputed some of the facts but has still agreed to replace the sofa (this time it would be curbside delivery) and would pay for the damages.
"Mr Ansell posted a picture of the stricken sofa on a local Facebook group and four "lovely members of the community" came to help him move it upstairs." (BBC)
After the incident and the bad media surrounding it, it seems the furniture company will be introducing "body-worn cameras" for members of the delivery team in future.
