The mystery surrounding Carole Baskin's husband...
Updated | By East Coast Radio
This is a typical example of the power of the media...
We know about the American true-crime series, 'Tiger King', that left us wanting more.
But the series itself, which focused on the community of big cat conservationists and collectors in America, grabbed our attention for other reasons.
One being the involvement of Joe Exotic, the Tiger King, in less than legitimate dealings, plus his rivalry with Big Cat Rescue CEO, Carole Baskin.
Besides Exotic's conviction surrounding 'murder-for-hire' and his attempt at hiring someone to kill Baskin, things got interesting.
However, what really grabbed everyone's attention was the story surrounding the disappearance of Carole's ex-husband, Don Lewis.
"Millionaire businessman Lewis and Carole Baskin had been married for six years before he went missing in 1997." He disappeared from his Florida home a day before he was scheduled to go on a trip to Costa Rica." (7news)

After being declared dead in 2002, reports of him still being alive have surfaced, which has left everyone confused.
It seemed a video interview with Carole Baskin that was taken in 2021 has resurfaced. In the video she says that he is alive and well and that she wishes him the best.
She also dismissed claims that were made insinuating that she had fed Lewis to her tigers. How absurd?
According to Baskin: "All of this drama has been made about me having something to do with his disappearance, when Homeland Security has known where he is at least since back then." (Unilad)
We're still uncertain as to the status of her husband, as we have yet to receive clear direction about his livelihood or lack thereof.
