And now a home that falls perfectly into this category has been put on the market.
Juergen Teller, a fashion photographer, bought the property in 1990.
It wasn't always a home, instead, it had been a hat store and Teller converted it into a living space.

The property is listed for £950,000 (just about R20 million).
During the renovation, Teller tried to maximise the space he had to work with and ended up with five floors!

, although the property has now been turned into a beautiful home, they have kept the hat stores quirkiness by keeping the original sop window and dressing it up for special occasions.It even has a cute little bowler hat lampshade!
