Korean living in SA can't get used to 'Mzansi Time' for braais
Updated | By East Coast Radio
She certainly manages to explain braai culture perfectly...
We are all about a good get-together and, for the most part, the one thing that brings people together is undoubtedly food.
But as South Africans, just like any other group, we can stick to our way of doing things more than we care to admit.
This includes the time it takes to braai...
Our advice for those who don't know is always to have a snack before going to a braai.
Korean TikToker, Eodum Chan Kim, who has been residing in South Africa now for two years, openly shared recently that she will never get used to braais.
She admits that she learnt the hard way that being invited to a braai doesn't guarantee food right away. And reminiscing about her first braai, we can understand that she had a fair account of 'hangryism' (when you are hungry and it brings on the anger).
Watch how she so fashionably explains how she will never get used to Mzansi time and how she compares a Korean braai to a South African one.

As we approach our Heritage Day aka Braai Day, we are pleased to say that many people jumped on the comments section and 'viva-ed' for the braai.
And, of course, explaining that it is a social part of our lives as South Africans certainly summed it up. Check out some of the best comments, in our opinion:
MAYAKA: "braai isn't only about the food bout the expirience, to socialize and with friends and family"
Adrian Peacock: "Braai is a social event meant to foster a bonding between all attendees… It goes beyond food preparation and dining…"
wonkeydonkey: I went to a braai once at 3 and the fire started at 6 and we ate at 10 because the braaier was drunk and sleeping"
Demps: "You ate at a the braai, we normally braai and enjoy it for breakfast🤣🤣"
