Just another example of what you buy vs what you get

A woman is deceived by the image of a hair grip she saw online...
Online purchases can lead to disappointment - sad to say but true.
And it seems it never gets old when someone shares what they thought they were buying and what they ended up getting.
The most recent person who says she was 'done dirty' by a popular jewellery and accessory brand shared her experience on TikTok recently.
What we have learnt about online shopping is that it is very similar to normal shopping.
The age-old gimmick of using larger-than-life product imagery to advertise regular-sized items can be applied across the board.
So, here's what we have learnt. Now, just to be clear, this is only with regard to the size of items and not the actual item difference (that is definitely an intuition thing).
Usually on online shopping platforms or sites, you get a description area that provides a description of the item.
Click on that and read the specifications of the item so that you don't feel like you didn't get what you bargained for.

Surprisingly, people were not on the same page as her, with many of the commentators saying that the item is clearly different, how could she feel deceived?
But she justified the screenshot by saying it was the same item that she purchased but in a different colour.
Nevertheless, at the end of the day, this is the chance you take when you order clothing, apparel, jewellery or accessories online. The image is not the same size as the item in real life.
Remember that when you make a purchase next time.
