Why do we feel the need to name inanimate objects?
Herbie was a cute little beetle, the Mystery Machine kicked bad-guy butt, and Ecto-1 was the first on the scene when there was something strange in your neighbourhood.

These are just some of the most famous cars that have played a role in many of our lives.
And, of course, we remember them because of their names!

We might never know why naming our cars had become a thing or who the first person was to name their car.
But what we do know is that naming inanimate objects can actually be explained by human psychology.

This piqued Vic's interest as he has been naming all of his plants!
He decided to ask KZN: "Do you think it's weird to name inanimate objects? And do you do it as well?"
