Influencer almost sold a mouldy phone cover for over R2-million
Bianca Classen is a 27-year-old German YouTuber, also known as 'Bibi', who decided to put her old phone case up for auction on eBay.
As a popular YouTuber, with over six-million subscribers, it's kind of expected that if Bibi were to sell any of her possessions, her fans would jump at the opportunity to own them.

A phone cover is also surely not the weirdest item celebs and influencers have put up for sale.
Some celebs have sold their tears or even their bath water, while fans have been known to pay massive amounts for stuff like Britney's chewing gum or Justin Timberlake's toast.

This makes the phone cover a little less weird.
Originally, Bianca posted pictures of the case on her Instagram story, explaining that she had got it wet while taking underwater pictures, proceeded to leave it in a cupboard, forget about it, and then discovered it looking like this:

Joking that it looked like 'modern art', she decided to put it up for auction on eBay, but was shocked by the number of bids she received.

After seeing the response, she made the decision to donate the full amount she would receive as payment to charities that assist the homeless in German cities.
That was until she found out she would have to pay 10% tax first, and with the final bid being €133,000, this meant that she would have to pay €13,000, even before she could give the money to charity.

Bianca chose to not take the generous bid but her family will still be making a donation to the charities she originally had in mind.
While her intentions were admirable and seem pure, everyone is probably thinking the same thing: who would want to buy a mouldy-beyond-repair phone cover for that amount of money?
