Husband mistakenly uncovers wife's sensual writing

Uhh, that's a bit awkward. Especially considering he thought of her as a little prude...
We know that in marriages sometimes things can become stock standard. The spice can fizzle out; it is different for different couples.
But honesty and trust are very much key factors in the institution of marriage. The question is, how much do you tell your better half? Everything or selective information?
One man took to Reddit to ask the community for their help. This after he found out his wife was a fan-fiction author that included quite raunchy sex scenes in her pieces.
If you are wondering what fan-fiction is, it is fictional writing by an amateur based on works that already exist.
But her writing has a sensual twist to it, and her husband who clicked on her private documents whilst using her laptop is now left in shock.
"My wife and I have been together for 10 years and married for 7. We have a 3-year-old daughter. I thought I knew everything about her. There were no secrets. But that was a lie. I was using the home computer because my personal one was in repair shop. I saw my wife's google account was still logged in. She had google docs opened. I got curious, because the tab that was open seems like an online book because it had double quotation marks. I got invested in it and read the first chapter. I was interesting." (Reddit)
After reading more than he intended to, he realised that this was SMUT (a slang term referring to fictional works of art that are of a sexual nature).
He was shocked by the whole thing. He admitted that she was a great writer, but the sex scenes that she wrote about left him confused.
"There was sex in every position. Some of them I don't even know about. The way she writes those scenes is very stretched out and in detail. It feels like I am with a different person now. She has not changed yet. She is a devoted wife and mother. But I have questions. Why did she hide it? Was she lying to me about being uncomfortable with sex when we were dating? I know she has had relationships in the past. Does she want sex like those people in her stories? " (Reddit)

It's a difficult predicament to be in because he feels like he doesn't know her anymore.
We think the best way forward like in all marriages is to communicate.
This has left him at odds though as he feels that if he approaches her on the topic, she may be upset as he went behind her back and read her work - and if she wanted to tell him, she would've told him initially.
Perhaps he should embrace this new found side to her. What do you think?
