Fans of the couple
have stepped in to help after Harry revealed that his father cut him off.
The world is still talking about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey which aired last week. In the interview, Harry explained that he and Meghan are living off the money his mother left him – and fans have offered their support by launching a GoFundMe page so that the couple can help pay for their housing in California.
Fans are hoping to help raise a casual R150 million for Harry to help him pay the bond on his mega-mansion.
The page was started by Californian Anastasia Hanson who titled the campaign 'Harry and Meghan $5 Donation to Buy Home'.

While Hanson admitted that the campaign was ‘no joke’, it was shut down shortly after it launched with just over R1500.
"I am raising funds to pay off the mortgage for the Montecito, California home of Harry and Meghan,” the description read shortly before the fund was taken down. “When they came to the USA they were without jobs and with limited funds. They've stated that they've had a very rough time, so this fundraiser is a way to give help, compassion, and love by paying their home loan in full.”
Hanson adds “I personally relate to mental health, racial equality, diversity, and inclusivity. They both support these issues as well. Together, they can help bring healing and restoration to the whole world."
In an interview with The Sun, Hanson explains why she started the page. "I like to help people and help them in any way I can,” she says. “That gives me happiness. If you needed a home, I'd do the same for you. It's a good deed."
Harry sent the royal family’s PR teams into overdrive when he admitted to the media mogul that his family had “literally cut me off financially” in the first quarter of 2020 adding that he has been living off the money his mother Princess Diana left him.

"I've got what my mum left me, and without that, we would not have been able to do this," he continues. "During COVID, the suggestion by a friend was, 'What about streamers?'," Harry continued. "So, there were all sorts of different options. And look, from my perspective, all I needed was enough money to be able to pay for security to keep my family safe."
Today, Harry and Meghan have secured substantial
deals with both Netflix and Spotify which is set to bring them a nice cash
injection over the next few months.
