This company is making realistic masks by purchasing people's faces

Just when you thought you had seen every kind of outlandish mask out there, one Japanese company is turning the tables once again.

And many people have tried to recreate facial designs that maybe look like the actual wearer of the mask but it always still resembles what it really is: a mask.
Now one Japanese mask shop has created face coverings that truly look like real people.

is a shop that focuses more on recreational masks than safety, Corona-curbing facial masks.But people are suddenly wearing masks every day, quite obviously more than ever before so why not develop a mask that looks exactly like you?

These 3D coverings are uncanny, freaky but simultaneously super cool!

So where does the buying people's faces part come in?
Well, obviously if you sell them your face, then other people can also order a mask carrying your resemblance.

The company is offering 40,000 yen (R5,700) to copy your face and use it as a design.
The graphic designers take the pictures and 3D date and create the mask by hand, which takes several hours.
And what's in it for the face-seller? Well, if it becomes a must-have/bestseller, then you'll get a portion of the profit!

Unfortunately, only Tokyo residents over the age of 20-years are currently eligible.
However, you can purchase the shopkeeper's face for only R14,000, with many more options available soon.
We also can't help but think about all the confusing interactions identical masks could cause.
The final verdict is still out on whether this is really freaky or a must-have.
