Kabelo Mabalane is running from Johannesburg to Durban to raise R6-million

The legendary Kwaito artist started his journey on Monday.
Mabalane, who is accompanied by fellow Comrades marathon runner Peteni Khuzwayo, is hoping to cover 600km of hope.

They will be on the road for 17 days and have been averaging a speed of 35 kilometers per day.
He has been keeping everyone following this tough mission updated on his Instagram, like after the first day when he posted a video of his recovery featuring a very, very cold dustbin:

The cause is hoping to raise R6-million, which will be used to feed 10,000 children for a year.
Mabalane recently spoke to Newzroom Afrika and shared that running helped him during recovery after struggling with addiction.

After experiencing a void in his life during recovery, he decided to fill that void with running.
He also mentioned that running has done so much for him, that he sees it as a privilege to be able to take this sport and use it to help others.

Before setting off on the incredible journey, he took to Instagram to encourage people to pledge to the initiative, saying:
