Imagine sending your son to get a few groceries, and he returns with a wife!
The bizarre story took place in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, India, when a devastated mother went to the police station to report that she sent her son to get groceries and he returned with a wife.

Stunned by the sudden change of events, the mother refused to accept the marriage and wouldn't let the newlyweds into the house.
According to The Business Standard, Guddu (26) and his wife, Savita, were married at an Arya Samaj Mandir in Haridwar two months earlier, but they were not able to obtain a marriage certificate because they did not have witnesses.

The accommodation rental Savita was staying at asked her to leave due to the lockdown. That prompted Guddu's decision to bring her home.
The Sahibabad police have asked Savita's landlord in Delhi to let them stay at the rented place.
