This marks the
first time in history that a gay couple will be on the channel.
Popular kids channel Nickelodeon is set to introduce its first same-sax married couple to viewers.
The McBrides are a bi-racial, same-sex married couple and will make their debut this week on Nickelodeon. This also marks the first time in history that a gay couple will be on the channel.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the characters of Harold and Howard McBride will be voiced by Wayne Brady and Michael McDonald, and Harold and Howard form part of the supporting cast of the show 'Loud House'.

'Loud House' is a show that follows Lincoln Loud, who struggles being the only boy in a family where he has 10 sisters. Clyde McBride, the son of Harold and Howard, is his friend.
Although this has been met with lots of positivity, there are some parents out there saying they don’t want their kids exposed to same-sex marriages on TV.
For me, I say big up to Nickelodeon. Children need to see and be taught that there is nothing wrong with same-sex marriages. If a child is being loved, and treated well, who are we to judge if he/she has a two mommies or two daddies? We need to learn to let people be happy, instead of constantly judging and shaming.
I can’t wait to watch the McBride's first appearance. Yes, I am a cartoon addict!
Time to make history indeed! First married gay couple on a Nickelodeon cartoon!https://t.co/CI5NPmd7JU
