Listen: "Should I tell my partner I want to sleep in separate rooms?"
Updated | By Damon Beard
Loving your partner means putting up with many things - including their annoying habits. But when you have to have difficult conversations with them, it can become pretty uncomfortable.
Listen to this woman's dilemma, or read the details under the podcast.
When you’ve just met the love of your life, and you’re planning to spend the rest of your lives together, a little thing like snoring shouldn't be the biggest deal, but what happens when you’re ten years into your marriage together? Snoring can push partners away (literally), causing friction and spoiling intimacy.
Lying awake while your spouse snores is hugely frustrating, but choosing between losing sleep and sleeping apart can be difficult. If sleeping in separate beds is the only option, you really need to make a concerted effort to prioritise intimacy with each other.

So your partner snores horribly, but it’s chronic, and you’ve tried to be patient but you just can’t cope any longer - this is exactly the situation that a woman has found herself in, and she took to a voice note to express how divided she is on whether she should tell her partner or not.
I think that if it's something that's deeply concerning her, shouldn't she feel comfortable enough to express herself without having to feel bad about it in the process? There's nothing worse than trying to make it through a full day at the office without having sufficient sleep - it can be a miserable experience.
