How often should you wash your jeans?

Some say that jeans need to be worn a good few times before washing them, but for how long should you wear them before washing them?
We all have that one favourite pair of jeans that we can't live without. It's the pair that has been worn a few times with a few holes here and there. Although they are old, we can't seem to part with them.
On Wednesday, the East Coast Radio staff were debating about the mundane task of washing. Somehow we got onto the topic of washing jeans. One of the staff members shocked us by saying that he washes his jeans after every use, while another said that she only washes at the end of the month. We think it’s pretty safe to say that most people don’t wash their jeans as regularly as they would wash their other clothes.

But how often should you be washing your jeans? Well, Daily Edge reports that apparently, you should be washing your jeans after every four or five uses, because anything else will cause the dye to fade.
The CEO of Levi's shocked many when he said that people should not wash their jeans. Thankfully, he clarified that he does us a toothbrush to clean the stains and dirt.
