Listening to some voice notes on Thursday on the WhatsApp line, Zama and I came across one from a KZN listener who seems to have people divided, and it has something to do with the way you wash your dishes.

It seems that those who don't rinse their dishes are being referred to as 'monsters', but I was surprised to find out there are quite a few people who can relate to this KZN listener.
Although some have dishwashers, there's nothing better than washing those dishes the old fashioned way - suds and water to rinse. For me, it’s most definitely all about the rinsing. Have you ever had dishwashing liquid in the cup you’ve just made coffee in? Urgh, nasty!
But what about the long-term effects on your body with dishes that have residue on them? Well, Khush Khambatta, a compliance officer for a cleaning product, has spoken up and said that the leftover suds are minimal, so there would not be any deadly effects.
"Of course if the recommended dosage is used, no-rinse should be no cause for concern," he said.
What ever it is, I cannot stand to know that there are some out there that don't rinse after washing, especially if you have a soapy batch of water. Wash and rinse - that's the only way, right?
Do you rinse your dishes after washing them, or do you leave them to drip dry with their suds intact?
