'The Lion King' and 'Toy Story 4': The most anticipated movies of 2019

Simba and his friends are back... again! 

Fans around the world were in awe earlier this month after news dropped that The Lion King live-action movie will be released in July 2019. The trailer alone broke YouTube and has racked up over 55-million views to date.

The star-studded cast includes the likes of Beyonce as 'Nala', Donald Glover as 'Simba', and James Earl Jones as 'Mufasa', to name a few. 

Disney came under fire with some saying that the trailer was almost shot-for-shot when compared to the 1994 original. Side-by-side videos, much like the one below, did the rounds showing that Disney really played on the nostalgia of the original when compared to the 2019 version.

Oh, fork! A new hero has been added to Toy Story 4

Eight years on and Pixar have finally dropped the trailer for the latest instalment of one of their most-loved films, Toy Story 4, which is expected to drop in June 2019. 

This time, however, a new hero has been introduced - a plastic fork who has caught the attention of audiences worldwide. 

According to The Verge, 'Forky' is "an adorable, demented little spork outfitted with pipe-cleaner arms and a cute, squiggly face. It’s the type of toy that could only be loved by a child who spent 20 whole minutes making it, and it’s obvious from the teaser that he doesn’t belong with the rest of Andy and Bonnie’s precious toys."

Fans have been split over the new character, saying that he actually resembles a 'spork' (spoon and a fork) as opposed to a fork itself. 

Disney-Pixar has summed up the film by saying: "Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy."
