The terrible case of teenage acne

Do you remember growing up with acne? What crazy things did you do to try and get rid of it?
I am so grateful that I have never had any issues with my skin. In fact, if I have had five pimples in my entire life it's a lot. In saying that, if and when I do get a spot, it's a real humdinger one that feels like a bruise and a gentle touch makes my eyes water. The worst is in the ear, base of the nose, or just above the lip!
During the recent Golden Globes, Kendal Jenner received bad commentary by Twitter trolls about her clearly visible acne. She is not the first victim and will not be the last!

Acne has been around forever, so surely people should get over shaming people for a situation they have zero control over?!
Being a teenage girl is difficult to start with, but at school, the girls who had bad skin really had a tough time of it.

I can clearly remember that when I was still in school, there was a girl who used to get mocked by the boys for her skin issues. It used to make her cry, as they called her pizza face and dart board. Flip, how unkind, right?!
This poor girl's face looked raw and used to ooze on really bad days. She was forever on medication and used to try and hide under a thick layer of foundation (which made it look even worse!). To this day, her skin is slightly scarred.

It must be so difficult experiencing something that looks sore? I can't even begin to imagine how it must really affect a person's confidence - boys and girls alike.
