Take back the land! First time home-buyer wins bid for tiny piece of land
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Just when he thought he found the ultimate steal, this first-time homeowner was in for a nasty surprise.
There's a lot of things one needs to think about when deciding to buy land, and even more when deciding to bid for it at an auction. Once that gavel goes down, what's done is done.
A South Florida man named Kerville Holness happened to be a first-time auction bidder who initially thought he got the deal of a lifetime when he won a land bid for $13,000 (about R185,000).

Sadly for him, it turned out to be a tiny strip of land between two villas which only measures in at 30cm by 30m. Oh, and it's worth only $50 (roughly R700).
Obviously furious about his purchase, the man can't really do much about it, but deal with the hand that he bid on.
Deception or just the dumbest person ever? Just like this strip of land, there's a fine line between the two.
