Local artist Samthing Soweto on what it's like to be top of Apple Music

Multi-award-winning artist Samthing Soweto has broken records on Apple Music. Neil caught up with him to find out more.

Samkelo Lelethu Mdolomba, also known as Samthing Soweto, is only headed one way - and that's to the top!
Mdolomba was the founding member of musical group, The Soil, and over his years in the business, he has partnered with many musicians to make spectacular music - including Sun El-Musician in Akanamali.

Success is knocking hard on his door these days. Just recently, he broke records on Apple Music for being number one for the singles and albums charts. His album Isphithiphithi is said to be the latest summer classic.
According to Channel24, Apple Music's South African record "was previously held by American performer Billie Eilish."
