There is something so loving about people singing in unison. It's similar to how a string section makes me feel - powerful!

The KZN Youth Choir has been around for 51 years, making it the oldest choir group in South Africa! Next month, the group will be competing at the World Choir Games in Tshwane, but they need your help with funds to get them there.
The group is made up of 200 members from all walks of life, and these amazing young people have gone on to win international awards, including first prize in the youth choir category at the International Choral Music competition in Greece in 2011.
I joined the KZN Youth Choir because I loved singing but I did not really think of taking it any further. But, when I started with the choir, it gave me hope. Traveling to other countries really opened my mind to possibilities out there.- Sma Mkhwanazi
They have done the hard work but do not have the necessary funds to get to the event, as the organisation is an NPO.
This year will be the 10th World Choir Games and the first to be hosted in Africa! This is such a momentous occasion and the team cannot miss this! Contestants will be coming from Austria, Croatia, Cuba, China, Lithuania, and many more countries from around the globe! WOW - now I want to be there too!
KZN, let's do our part and help these children get there. To assist with their trip to the World Choir Games, please call Sandy Pillay on 0826013872 or e-mail [email protected].
