This video made by Kanye West for Kim's birthday stirred something deep inside. It ruffled that space where I wish I could pause time and hold onto my child's innocence and youth for eternity. 

In this high pressured life, us working moms, parents have to spend so much time away from our kids and the time we do have together especially during the week is rushing in a hamster wheel.

This video made me want to white knuckle and pause the good night stories, the long warm bath sessions no matter how chaotic with 3 excitable smalls, the cuddles on the couch under a blankie, the fighting over sitting next to me, the kiss that only a mother’s love can make better. I know as a parent our role is to love, guide and nurturer but man it's a cruel and unkind process of having to let go and give them wings to fly.
