A day out on the beachfront
Nothing’s better than going down to the Durban beachfront, hiring a bike if you don't have one, and cycling from the one side to the other. After a nice cycle, a cooldrink on the beach followed by a swim in the sea. There is nothing better than a morning out on the beachfront. It’s so vibrant and has such an awesome cross section of our beautiful KZN as East Coasters meet together.
The beautiful gardens at Makaranga
Another firm favourite is to explore the awesome gardens at Makaranga Lodge in Kloof. It is such a sacred place with its hidden ponds, tiny bridges, and it even has a Japanese garden. After that, a scrumptious breakfast on the deck and a swim in the pool - the kids are going to feel like they are on a holiday and will probably never want to leave.
A place for both mom and kids to have fun
Lucky Bean is a place we go and visit every holiday without fail. Situated in Assagay, it’s the perfect place for mom and dad to enjoy themselves while the kids enjoy some play time. Not only do they offer a free holiday craft workshop daily for kids, but they also serve an awesome cappuccino. Yum!
