After reading inspiring tips from a South African citizen on happiness, Jane decided to share her own tips which are bound to inspire you!
I so love this!
While scrolling through the interwebs, I came across an article written by Carel Nolte from Johannesburg-based company CN&CO, in which he shares the things that contribute to his happiness. Reading it got me inspired.
Some of the things that Carel uses to being him happiness are reading, travelling, laughing, getting a tattoo (I just got inked again this past weekend), and even drinking good wine (Yes, my fave!). Check out his full list here.

Yes, sure, life is stressful and demanding, and yes, the cost of living is exorbitant, and the crime is high and so on and so forth, but at the end of the day, the way you choose to digest is your choice. You have the choice to be happy.
Here are a few things that could help change your mindset when it comes to happiness:
- Surrounding yourself with good company, with people who love you for you and not for anything else.
- Make sure your social media platforms are full of bright and inspiring images and people and not things that make you feel helpless and/or bad about yourself.
- Be kind to yourself and to those around you, in a world where you can be anything, choose to be kind.
- Be the best version of yourself because the energy you put out is the energy you will get back.
- Give without expecting to get any bring back.
- Love with a whole heart even if you get hurt.
