Malik announced that he will be leaving One
Direction a year ago.
He told his devastated fans at the time that he wanted to pursue a solo career, but there is more to the story, and it apparently involves ET’s cousins.
The 23-year-old hunk told Glamour magazine recently that a message from an extra-terrestrial source gave him the push he needed to finally leave the popular boyband.
“An alien spoke to me in a dream,” he said.
Um, okay.
It seems the alien didn’t have to do much convincing as Zayn had already been fed up with the group’s management’s ridiculous rules.
He told Complex magazine in March that he could not dye his hair while he was in the band, and even his sexy beard was a problem.
“There were certainly restrictions in terms of the way that we could come outside of that young teen boy look. Mainly my beard… I wasn’t allowed to keep it,” he told the mag.
Well, if we had such strict workplace rules, we would take just about anything as a sign – even a visit from ET!
