Danish startup invents underwear you can wear 'for weeks' without washing
Updated | By Stacey Norman
A group of young Danish innovators have designed underwear that doesn't need to be washed every day thanks to a simple ingredient which is said to kill bacteria.
One wear, one wash. That's the normal rule when it comes to underwear, right? Well, for some that is.
While I'm not privy to knowing people's undergarment washing routines, for me it's one wear and it goes into the wash. That's just the way it is.

For some bizarre reason, a Danish startup called Organic Basics have created underpants called Silvertech 2.0 that can be worn for weeks without having to be flung in the washing basket.
It has been branded as the world's most advanced underwear that is "Durable, Comfortable, Odor-Killing, Affordable & Made from 100% Sustainable Materials," reports Kickstarter.
According to Business Insider, the product was created not because they want to encourage lazy millennials, but it's about saving the planet.
"Our business is sustainable fashion. The traditional way of buying, wearing, washing and throwing away overpriced underwear is a terrible waste of resources. And it is extremely harmful to the environment," Mads Fibiger, the CEO and co-founder of Organic Basics, said.

The magical ingredient that helps to kill 99.9% of bacteria and fungi is a silver formula. The brand claims that it will save time and money, and, in the process, reduce water and energy to wash it.
Amongst other things the product is seamless, breathable, lightweight, and doesn't even wrinkle. Girl, ain't nobody got time for wrinkled undergarments!
So would I consider using and buying it? I don't think so. I think I would rather stick to the wash and wear approach. It's safe and never failed me.
How about you? Would you be willing to give the Organic Basics underwear a try? How many times should you wear underwear before washing them?
