Cardi B defends Dwyane Wade's trans child on Instagram Live
Cardi B defends Dwyane Wade and his family on IG, calling out those who have openly criticised them for defending Zaya's decision.
A lot of people feel they have the right to weigh in on Dwyane Wade's child's decision about his gender.
One of the people who has felt the need to speak out on this is Cardi B. She took to her Instagram defending the Wade family, commending them for speaking their family's truth. She also called out people for being insensitive to 'Zaya' by enforcing their opinion on her and reminded them that this child is 12.
To give you a background to the story. Wade and his family have faced a lot of criticism from both sides of the LGBTQ community regarding their child's decision. The family has even had to fight trolls who picked on Zaya's dress sense.
Wade has stood by his child through it all and is very accepting of his child's choice. In an interview with Good Morning American, Wade had this to say: "Zaya has known it for nine years since she was three years old.
“Zaya started doing more research. She was the one that sat down with us as a family and said, ‘Hey I don’t think I’m gay.’ And she went down the list and said this is how I identify myself: I identify myself as a young lady. I think I’m a straight trans, because I like boys."
