Zimbabwean church council ask President to stop Somizi's visit because he is gay

The Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe asks President Emmerson Mnangagwa to intervene.
South African TV personality and influencer Somizi Mhlongo is once again making headlines.

This time he's made international news.
And it seems like he didn't even actively do anything.

As it turns out, Somizi is set to visit Zimbabwe for the reopening of the Garwe Restaurant, but he doesn't seem to be welcomed by all locals. The star is set to appear as a guest chef but he might need to cancel his plans.
The Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe have made it explicitly clear that they do not even want Somizi to set foot in Zimbabwe.

The reason is: he's a homosexual.
The council have written a letter to Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa, calling on him to intervene and put a stop to the visit. They have stated that they were upset to learn that Somizi would be visiting and they are firmly against these plans.

According to them "Somiz is a homosexual, hence according to our People's driven Constitution, Zimbabwe doesn't tolerate homosexuality. [sic]"
They also mention how his visit will affect the land and the children.
