Updated | By Stacey and JSbu
A relaxed afternoon of sunbathing turned into something straight from a horror movie for a woman in Cape Town... or did it?
If there was ever a picture of calm then this surely would be it. A video featuring a young woman at a lake in Robertson in the Western Cape has emerged on Tik Tok.
The unidentified woman in the video, who is wearing a bikini and sunbathing, is seen using lightning quick reflexes to grab a cobra by it's throat as it launches through the air at her, while two dogs watch on from afar, seemingly too scared to rescue her.

At first glance, it seems that the young woman has just fiercely grabbed the speeding cobra with her bare hands, however - spoiler alert, on closer examination, one can see a shadow of another person, a fishing pole and, yes, a rubber reptile.

The shadow of the person reeling in the fishing pole can be clearly seen at the very beginning of the video:
The video initially went viral back in 2015. According to the Daily Mail, the filmmaker admitted that the woman, his sister, was never actually at risk of being bitten by a snake and that it was a prank:
Yes, it as pulled via a fishing rod with fluorocarbon line. My brother and I were trying to scare my sister into running but it seems that she was prepared. I grew up catching snakes along that river and she would sometimes join me. She did not handle it as we expected her to, very much impressed.- Dail Mail
The video has now surfaced on popular social media app, Tik Tok, with many falling for the prank.
