WATCH: Are you 'Reddy' to meet Chatsworth's youngest rapper?
Updated | By Stacey and J Sbu
While most 11-year-olds are out playing games and doing schoolwork, Tevin Reddy is busy building his music career!
Tevin Reddy, aka Tevin The Rapper, tells Stacey and J Sbu how he became South Africa's Youngest Rapper and his mom also shares her thoughts:
If you were to think back to the days when you were a kid, close to finishing primary school, you would probably find yourself reminiscing about a simpler time.

Your biggest concern at that age might have been how you would be spending your allowance or which friends you would be inviting to a sleepover.
Very few of us were thinking "which single do I drop next?" or "who do I want to collab with on my next album?".
As it turns out, these are the types of questions Tevin Reddy from Queenburgh, who is currently a sixth-grade learner at Falcon Park Primary in Chatsworth, has to deal with on a daily.
He might only be 11 but his passion for music started when he was even younger and he had been spending a lot of time in the music studio with his father.
Since discovering a deep love for music, especially rap music, he has been cementing his spot in the South African music industry.
He has already made quite the impression and even earned the title of 'SA's Youngest Rapper'.
Signed to Boss Life Entertainment, which is owned and managed by his father Venan Reddy, Tevin has already recorded and released four singles and a music video!
When he's not at school, he is spending all his free time working on his music career and his dedication shows.
He's even worked with some very popular local artists like Jashmir:
One of my achievements was performing beside Jashmir, a very talented artist and being asked to perform live at events.- Tevin Reddy
As well as working closely with Siphesihle Mhlanga, who is also another Queensburgh rapper known as Verge The Rapper:
Verge was my idol, and he helped inspire me and helped me write my first track. We had a show in the loxion and that was where I first got an opportunity to perform on stage. I have a great bunch of artists here to perform with and they all inspire me and give me so many opportunities to learn.- Tevin Reddy
He filmed his first music video for his song, 'Vibe On Check', in Umhlanga on his 11th birthday and it features everything from luxury cars to fire dancers, while also showing off Durban.
You can listen to the song and catch a sneak peak of the video below:
He is also gathering quite a following on TikTok where he shares fun videos of him with his friends while also using the platform to promote his music:

But what does the future hold for Tevin?
He hopes to one day collaborate with the one-and-only Cassper Nyovest and that's his main goal. Well, that and owning an 'exotic car'.
We sure can't wait to see what this talented young man does next!
Speaking of rapping, let's not forget that one time J Sbu tried to show off his Tamil-rapping skills after he spoke to 'South Africa's hottest Indian rapper' Adrenalin:
And what about KZN being home to 'South Africa's Favourite Rapper', Justin Govender?
