South Africans cry out: "SASSA employees are stealing from the poor"
Updated | By Stacey & JSbu
A lot has been happening in SA since the lockdown started and a lot of people aren't happy with the government. Most recently, anger has been directed toward the SASSA grant payments scandal...
The struggle has been real for a lot of people since the start of lockdown. A lot of businesses have shut down, people have been retrenched, and citizens are hungry.

The Government, of cause, tried to make a plan the best way they could for those that are suffering and are out of work. They did so by introducing the R350 SASSA grant payment, but things haven't been going as smoothly as they should.
Some have received payments, while others haven't. Some have even received the wrong amount. This has caused a lot of frustration among South Africans and they definitely have a lot to say about it.
One person even tweeted: "Its not just the R350 unemployment grants that are not being received, some of us are on Dissability Grants and we haven't received in months, when you go to the SASSA offices they tell you not to worry, you'll get it when you get it. mxm #SASSA #SASSAcriminals"
Others have even turned this into a political thing because they are tired of being abused and used by the government and certain parties.
"The sad thing is, is that the poor souls desperate for the promised R350 #SASSA payment that's being stolen from under their noses, will continue voting the corrupt ANC into power #VoetsekANC"
So let's just say everyone isn't happy about this treatment. Quire rightly so, as people are suffering and are hungry.
