Having to deal with the fame and other personal trauma can cause one to look to substances with the hope that it will suppress the things you don't want to feel or take the pain away.

The latest celebrity to recently open up about their battle with addiction is Jessica Simpson.

Simpson took to Instagram where she wrote a lengthy caption which was accompanied by a picture of herself.

Jessica had previously opened up about her struggles with addiction in her 2020 memoir, 'Open Book', which was also the first time she had ever spoken out about her journey.

In her book, she recalls how she had reached rock-bottom in 2017 after a Halloween party at home and that she wanted to get her life together so she could be a better mother for her three kids; nine-year-old Maxwell, eight-year-old Ace, and two-year-old Birdie.

Now, the singer seems to be at a much happier and healthier place in her life and we love to see it!
