Rules or life lessons, you decide...
It's not uncommon for teenagers to work a part-time job before they head off to university as it teaches them responsibility, gives them valuable experience, and sometimes it's necessary for them to make their own money.

These kids might work in retail, at restaurants, the list goes on.
Most parents will also tell you that the first job is never the easiest. And it will almost certainly not be your dream job. (But if it is then lucky you.)

And while there is a common trope that a boss is always a mean person filled with rage, possibly psychotic and maybe a little crazy, that's definitely not always the case.
One father was quite surprised when his daughter showed up with a list of rules after her first shift that her boss had given her.

While most of us would assume such a list would include a strict set of rules and regulations that need to be followed, this was not that type of list.
Apparently, the establishment employs mostly 16-year-olds and they receive the following list on their first day:

While some of these are quite serious and might be seen as harsh, we are looking at this list and wondering "where is the lie?"
If only someone had given us a list like this when we were still trying to get through high school!

Our personal favourite has to be rule number 10: "Television is NOT real life."
Is the list a bit negative? Or is it just realistic?
