Relatable? J Sbu opens up about his 'quarter-life' crisis...

2022 is a milestone year for one half of Stacey and J Sbu and as the date draws closer, the anxiety also seems to be peeking!
Our favourite male drivetime presenter, J Sbu will be celebrating his 30th Birthday on the 24th of May and he is super anxious!
Most people are familiar with what is refered to as a 'mid-life crisis' but does a 'quarter- life' crisis actually exist?

Well, according to Bradely University, the concept of a quarter-life crisis is nothing new and is infact something that is actually quite common. Individuals will feel an intense feeling of stress and anxiety that starts in their mid 20s and increase as they approach their 30s.
Deep breaths...
J Sbu has concurred that the above symptoms are accurate.
So why would J Sbu, someone who seemingly successful by most peoples standards, be under such stress?
He confessess that it is mostly all in his head.

It seems these feelings have been bubbling under for a while now. Last year, J Sbu opened up about 'life timelines' and the expectations we have for our lives versus our reality.

J Sbu has always seen his thrities as a milestone age in which he would have already achieved certain goals, and according to the goals that J Sbu had set for himself in his early twenties, things are not looking 'good'.

J Sbu is the eldest son from uMama noBaba Nxumalo and being from a very traditional and cultural family, entering this new stage of his life does mean that he will additional responsibilties when it comes to his extended family.
A step up that he is not yet ready for.
